A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to nonexistent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a typographical error. The drawback of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk emails, but this issue can be resolved using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also essential to bear in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a few features, but it’s amazingly simple to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires only one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you have will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will just need to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires yet another click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a Linux semi-dedicated package with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud platform. All the email addresses that you create using any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click that icon. In the same manner you will be able to disable the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will inform you in case you are attempting to activate a 2nd catch-all address for a specific domain name or if there is active email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or modify any feature automatically or without your permission.
